Learning Outcomes:

 

  •  Understand the problem, statistics regarding fall occurrences and populations at risk
  •  Evaluate physical hazards w.r.t the design of a facility such as , walking surfaces, parking areas, changes in levels, stairways, handrails, ramps, ladders, entrances and exits, and floor mats.
  •  Understand  the principles to effectively assess, improve, and maintain good slip resistance
  •  Identification of correct floors and floor materials to be used
  •  Learn the design, selection, maintenance, and footwear for employers selection
  •  Learn about spill and Fall programs, self-inspection, hierarchy of control and special practical techniques to be used
