Managing Slips, Trips and Falls at workplaces
Course fee is inclusive of training booklets, lunches, teas, home assignments and training certificates. We offer group package rates for more than 2 participants from the same organization.
Course Highlights:
This course is based on the scope of slips and falls issues, to common procedures for recognizing and mitigating walkway hazards, to management control methods and accident investigation/ mitigation.
The course deals with very useful hazard recognition and prevention guidelines to prevent indoor and outdoor slips and falls from floors, stairs, and ramps.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the problem, statistics regarding fall occurrences and populations at risk
- Evaluate physical hazards w.r.t the design of a facility such as , walking surfaces, parking areas, changes in levels, stairways, handrails, ramps, ladders, entrances and exits, and floor mats.
- Understand the principles to effectively assess, improve, and maintain good slip resistance
- Identification of correct floors and floor materials to be used
- Learn the design, selection, maintenance, and footwear for employers selection
- Learn about spill and Fall programs, self-inspection, hierarchy of control and special practical techniques to be used
