This training course deals with the basic reorganization and management of waste on site and has been designed to be highly interactive. You will so through the topics, impacts, technologies, problems, and issues associated with “conventional” hazardous wastes and the management practices and statutory and regulatory controls which have evolved around them. You will also learn how to control the hazardous waste worker health and safety issues.

  • Characteristics of wastes including Ignitable, Toxic, Corrosive and Reactive
  • Carry out Emergency Response Measures during an incident at your site

 

Additional Note: 400 million tons of hazardous waste generated per year (from chemical production, energy production, pulp and paper factories, mining industries, leather and tanning, etc.)If you put all of the hazardous waste into drums (55-gal) and stacked them end-to-end, that would be over 2 round trips to the moon.
