Train the Trainer: Defensive Driving (Light Vehicles)

Get trained to run Defensive driving sessions

Course fee is inclusive of training booklets, lunches, teas, home assignments and training certificates. We offer group package rates for more than 2 participants from the same organization.

Course Intro

The Defensive Driving Train the Trainer is an extensive 3 days course. The course is aimed for those corporate trainers who are required to conduct internal driver training for their employees. The course has the following sections covered:

1.Adult Learning Principles
2.Defensive Driving In-Class Presentation Mastery
3.Carry out a professional Pre-Trip Inspection of vehicles and assess participants as they do it
4.Demonstrate Correct driving seating positions and be able to explain vehicle retrain systems
5.Carry out practical Commentary Drive Assessment of drivers
6.Fill detailed forms and provide candid feedback to the drivers

After completing the course, the candidates will be able to present Defensive Driving Course for light vehicles for 1 day including carrying out a pre-trip inspection and a commentary drive of the drivers.

Overall Objective:

  • Develop competent Driver Trainers & Assessors who are able to conduct training using the standard training packages given by OSALP International.

Learning Outcomes

  • Plan, Deliver, and Review driver training for course participants.
  • Plan, Conduct, and Provide feedback on driving assessments.

Trainees must pre-requiste for the course

  • Trainees should have a valid driving licence and should be able to drive a motor vehicle.
  • Trainees should bring their own laptop to the course.

Course Price

  • PKR 160,000/participant

OSALP Will cover the following

  • Training location and training hardware required.
  • Motor vehicles required to drive for trainees.
  • Defensive Driving TTT e-package. This includes main presentation, speaker notes, various forms, videos, and handbook for the future trainees of the course participant. The package will be given both in English and in Urdu language.
  • Certificates and Pocket certificates for the candidates.

Practical

Trainees will have the expertise after 3 days to also do the below mentioned as part of the Defensive Driving Course.

Driving Ergonomics and Vehicle Restraint System

  • Knowledge about how to sit properly in a vehicle. Seating position, hands position, knees position, head restraint, seat belt adjustment and correct wearing, and head restraint.

Pre-trip Inspection for all drivers

Commentary Drive

  • Practical commentary Drive: Each driver will be assessed and marked on a prescribed form. The drivers will be guided on the areas that requires improvement from their side. They will also be informed on weakened points that can lead to an accident from their side.
  • The from is handed over to the company representative for their records and improvement for the driver in the next training.
